Question #10

What is the difference between the 'hardy' and 'hardy-proposed' kernels?

Answer:

Kernels found under the 'hardy' repository are labeled as a stable release. Updates for new features are few and far between. Often the only updates are released as bug fixes.

Kernels found under the 'hardy-proposed' repository are labeled as a testing release.

It is possible for kernels to migrate from 'hardy-proposed' to 'hardy' once enough users have tested and confirmed that 'hardy-proposed' is rock solid.

When debugging problems it's always a good idea to validate the issue against the 'hardy' kernel.
